 The Odisha government has introduced the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana 2023 with the aim of ensuring universal health insurance coverage. Under this initiative, particular attention will be given to safeguarding the health of economically disadvantaged families. The government of Odisha is committed to offering Rs. 5 lakh per family annually for healthcare assistance, specifically for secondary and tertiary medical procedures. This cashless treatment provision is designed to benefit 96 lakh families, encompassing approximately 3.5 crore individuals, across both government and private empaneled hospitals.
