Ayushman Bharat Yojana – Check Rural & Urban List of Beneficiaries (SECC-2011 Data) (Update on 15 April 2018)

Ayushman Bharat Yojana, also known as Modicare, is a universal health insurance scheme designed to benefit 10 crore poor families, comprising 50 crore citizens. Under the National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) or PM Rashtriya Swasthya Suraksha Mission (PMRSSM), cashless treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh per annum is provided to those whose names appear in the Rural & Urban Beneficiary List. The list of beneficiaries, both urban and rural, is prepared based on the SECC-2011 Data and is available on the official website pmjay.gov.in.

This insurance coverage of Rs. 5 lakh is applicable for secondary and tertiary hospitalization procedures at both public and private empaneled hospitals. The central government is creating a comprehensive database of targeted beneficiaries, including all details of deprived households. Online enrollment for the scheme is not required, as beneficiaries are already selected through the database.

NHPS Scheme will provide benefits to deprived rural families and identified occupational category of urban workers families. All the families (both in rural areas and urban areas) which got included in SECC-2011 data can apply and avail benefits. This scheme will get rolled out across all States / UTs.

Ayushman Bharat Yojana will also subsume Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) and Senior Citizens Health Insurance Scheme (SCHIS).
