 The Haryana government has introduced the Haryana Air Conditioner Scheme (AC Scheme) 2024, which allows domestic customers to apply online at acreplacementscheme.uhbvn.org.in. Under this Demand Side Management AC Scheme 2024, the state government offers air conditioners at a 59% discount. Urban and rural domestic consumers can complete the Haryana AC Scheme 2024 Online Registration Form to reserve an AC unit. Upon successful booking, each applicant will have the AC installed at their residence, thereby promoting energy conservation.

What is Haryana Air Conditioner Scheme 2024

The Haryana AC Scheme 2024 aims to provide approximately 1.05 lakh air conditioners at a discounted rate of up to 59% of the Minimum Retail Price (MRP) to the residents of the state. Interested candidates must apply online for the Haryana AC Yojana through the official portal. The Power Department of the Haryana government has collaborated with three renowned companies - Deccan, Blue Star, and Voltas - to distribute air conditioners under the AC Yojana.

Under the Haryana AC Yojana, the government will offer energy-efficient split air conditioners with a capacity of 1.5 tons at affordable prices. This initiative enables domestic consumers in the state to replace their inefficient air conditioners with highly efficient ones at discounted rates, thereby promoting energy conservation.
Here’s what you need to know about Haryana AC Replacement Scheme
  • Who can participate? Only domestic consumers of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) are eligible.
  • What ACs are eligible? You can replace old/inefficient ACs or install new super-efficient ACs with an ISEER rating of 5.41 or above.
  • How many ACs can I get? You can replace up to 3 ACs per account and install 1 new AC.
  • Where do I apply? Apply through the online portal of your respective Discom (UHBVN or DHBVN).
  • What about my old AC? Authorized dealers/OEMs will responsibly dispose of your old AC in an eco-friendly way.
  • How much discount can I get? Enjoy discounts of up to 59% on the MRP of new ACs!
  • What type of AC is covered? The scheme only covers 1.5-ton split ACs.

Subsidy on Buying / Replacement of ACs in Haryana AC Yojana

Haryana state government has made a provision to give more subsidy to the consumers of rural areas than the consumers of urban areas under this scheme. Under this Haryana AC scheme, govt. will provide subsidy for the following:-

  • Rs. 2,000 on buying a new AC in urban areas, Rs. 4,000 on replacement of the old AC.
  • In rural areas, a subsidy of Rs. 4000 will be given for buying a new AC and Rs. 8,000 on replacement of old AC.

Discount on Buying / Exchanging AC

Under the Haryana AC Yojana 2024, approximately 1,05,000 air conditioners will be made available at a discount of up to 59% of the Minimum Retail Price (MRP) to the residents of the state. Applicants for the Haryana AC Yojana will receive a confirmed discount when purchasing new units or replacing old ones.

Furthermore, consumers will experience reduced electricity bills due to the energy-saving capabilities of the new air conditioners. By installing these energy-efficient ACs, consumers can save up to 657 power units annually compared to old 3-star ACs, resulting in potential savings of up to Rs 5,000 per year.

Additionally, the compressors will be covered by a warranty of up to 10 years, while all other equipment will be covered for one year. Authorized dealers will take on the responsibility of fitting the ACs free of charge in consumers' homes under this scheme.
